Caring For My Daughter’s Textured Hair With JOHNSON’S®
Saige loves bathtime and especially loves it when I pamper her curly hair and skin.
For those of us parents of kids with textured+
hair, we know that “wash day” & doing their hair can sometimes be a tedious process. That’s why I love JOHNSON’S® products. They help me save time. Plus, I have the convenience of my neighborhood Walgreen’s being close by and open 24 hours, to save the day in a crunch. Proof that Walgreen’s and Johnson & Johnson care about the needs of my family.
My toddler has very fine natural coils, so I have to be careful with how I treat her hair. With JOHNSON’S® No More Tangles Spray I can detangle her hair gently while I get her bath water ready. To do this I just spray a little bit and separate her hair into sections and work her detangling brush through from ends to roots.
Then I create twists or plaits that are easy to take down when shampooing and conditioning her hair in the bath.
After bath, I just spray her hair as needed and style as usual. Today I’m going to show you how I style Saige’s hair in a hurry. When I’m pressed for time, I like to keep it simple with just a few puffs & some colorful ponytail holders to complete her look.
Saige’s Pretty Curly Puff’s Tutorial
⇓⇓⇓ Steps ⇓⇓⇓
- Detangle hair using JOHNSON’S® No More Tangles Spray (can be used on dry or damp hair) and a large tooth comb
- Using a comb, part hair into 3 sections. Create one large section across the back from ear to ear and secure loosely. Then separate the front into 2 sections by parting straight down the middle, front to back and secure loosely.
- Add your favorite leave-in and/or styling cream to damp sections and brush the hair smooth.
- Gather hair into a ponytail and secure with an elastic hair band. Then add a decorative ponytail holder and fluff hair to finish.
- Repeat these steps with each section until complete.
I’m super picky about what products I use on my daughter’s hair. I choose to use JOHNSON’S® No More Tangles spray because it has no sulfates, phthalates, parabens or dyes. All of the things us moms of textured hair want to hear.
Bath Time Is Perfect for Pampering
Our current bath time routine includes using JOHNSON’S® Skin Nourish Shea & Cocoa Butter Wash. I’m all about the butters. Saige loves splashing and playing in the bubbles. But I love how well her skin stays moisturized. Then when we’re all dry, it’s time for a quick rub down with JOHNSON’S® baby lotion and a few armpit tickles.
Oh! and moms, all of the products have been reformulated and repackaged making dispensing easier with large pumps and easy spray bottles. Now you can just leave your bath products on the side of the tub and they’re ready to go!
Head on over to Walgreen’s for all of your JOHNSON’S® bath time favorites and don’t forget to use your rewards card to take advantage of the BOGO sale!
