Im going to Cuba for Memorial Weekend but this would have been a great alternative. I always said im going to fly to Chicago just for deep dish pizza and this would be a great place to stay. Im loving the decor, great photo ops.
You really outdid yourself! This is a great idea for a quick weekend away. And a great time to visit Chicago, before it gets too hot!
There’s nothing like a staycation in your own city! I love staying downtown when I can, and I love feeling pampered by the hotel that I’m staying in! I’ve never stayed in the Renaissance, but it’s on my short list!
I live a few hours away*military life*. But we have been meaning to get to chicago. Love your post. Very detailed and less i have to think about lol.
The accommodations are breathtaking. I would love to sit on that rooftop and just chill!
Yeah, that’s the place for me.
I have no plan for Memorial Day weekend but the Renaissance Chicago is stunning. I would have a full on photoshoot in front of the taxi cab on the wall.
Right!? That backdrop is bananas. I’d be insta posing everywhere π

I’m so glad you like what you see Tomiko! Well if you and your hubby enjoy your stay, make sure you tell the general manager you heard about it from me π
It’s been years since I’ve been to Chicago but this post is enough to make me plan a trip to revisit. I’ll have to keep Memorial Day weekend in mind for the future.
I have never been to Chicago, but this post certainly makes it inviting. The Hotel is most stunning and it offers something for all. My husband and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary this year. This certainly an idea. Thanks!
It really is a beautiful hotel. Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary!! Wow 20 years! We just celebrated our 15th last month π
I saved your post to my Pinterest travel board because Chicago is on the top of my list to visit. I live in the Detroit area so I am not too far from Chicago. I have always wanted to go and take photographs of the city.
I haven’t been to Chicago yet but I am SO determined to get there this year (preferably in the Summer). You are not helping me while I am trying to save some money! lol
I’m helping! Motivation. It’s all about motivation.
I haven’t been to Chicago in a while. I already have Memorial Day weekend plans, but I’ll definitely look into this hotel for when I go back.
I’m planning a trip to Chicago for the 4th of July. Well actually a couple of days later so that I can attend the Taste. Thanks for all of the great recommendations. Now I have so much to try to do in the few days that I’m there. Can’t wait!
Awesome! Oh that’s a great time to go. Have a great time!
