So today I was going through my bedroom closet (again) and I got distracted. The goal was to fill up a bag with stuff for Goodwill. I have way too much stuff in there that needs to go. My motto for summer has been “if you haven’t worn it in the last 6 months…toss it!” Of course that doesn’t include essentials like my coats, jackets and accessories. But, you get what I’m saying. *Today’s post is sponsored by prAna and bLink Marketing Network.
One of things that always seems to steal my attention away from cleaning my closet is, I start having fun with my clothes. I’m in there trying stuff on or reminiscing about where I’ve worn it.
I toss old stuff and add new things a few times per year. Today, I got carried away trying on some new stuff I got from prAna, not too long ago. Check it out. I ordered this super cute maxi dress and tote bag. They weren’t a set but I really love how the colors and patterns compliment each other.
My prAna Fashion Show
So then I got REALLY carried away and decided to do a full on fashion show and photo shoot in my room lol. It was the perfect timing since it was raining out. So I whipped out my camera and lights and started WERKING it in the mirror.
Move over Naomi Campbell ! This ain’t Prada it’s prAna baby !
If you don’t know anything about prAna, let me tell you. prAna is a brand that is really mindful about how they make their clothes. They pay attention to sustainability and fair trade certification. They also incorporate hemp, organic cotton and recycled materials into their clothes. So not only do they focus on the versatility and style, they also care about how those clothes affect the planet in the long run.
They seriously make me care about what goes into the clothes I buy now. I never really paid attention to sustainability or organic cotton before shopping with them. I was aware of some of the benefits of hemp, but not as extensive as they explain so well in this video. Hemp really is amazing. Take a look.
About The Tote Bag
I’m so glad I found this tote bag ! This is the Slouch Tote. The one I have in my pics is the Sunlit Coral Riviera. Oooo!!! and it’s on sale for $39.50 right now, so make sure to get it before it’s gone.
The attention to detail on both the dress and bag is excellent. I’ve worn this dress at least 4 times since I got it and it’s gone through a few washes with no color fading or changes to the garment. It’s easy to throw in the wash with like colors and then I just hang it to dry.
About The Cali Maxi Dress by prAna
This dress is made out of 45% recycled polyester, 45% spun polyester and 10% spandex. So it does stretch in all the right places. I just love the feel of this dress so much. It is SOOOO comfortable. If it wasn’t a fashion crime to wear the same thing everyday, I would rock this 24×7. It stays cool in the heat and has the nicest flow to it. It’s flattering to my figure and holds up the “girls” really nicely and snug.
There’s just something about Athleisure wear that makes me feel so sexy and put together. When you’re comfortable in your clothes, it really shows.

One suggestion I will make is if you plan on buying this dress, make sure to order based on your bra size. This is a medium that I’m wearing. It fits gorgeously, but can be a little more work to get the shelf bra on if you have a breast size/cup size of 34 DD or larger.
I absolutely LOVE rocking my Cali Maxi dress all around Nashville and it's super comfortable when I'm driving on road trips. It packs really easily into a weekender bag or packing cubes. All you do is fold it over and roll it up! You can even use your tote bag as a weekender bag and throw this dress in.
So I hope you liked my little fashion show Stars. Be sure to let me know what you score at prAna and don't forget to use my discount code so you can get 15% off your order. I think I'm gonna have to do more of these fashion shows for ya'll. This was fun!
