Summer isn’t over but summer vacation for our kids has officially ended. They are back in school and we are already into the 4th week of classes in Nashville. This means new changes in work routines and schedules to accommodate the weekdays.  It also means a lot of busy days and juggling responsibilities between me and the Hubbs.  *Thank you Panda Express for sponsoring today’s post #PandaExpressPartner *

Weekend family dinner at Panda Express

End of Summer = Busier Lifestyle

Some of the things that I’ve been streamlining lately to help with our busy lifestyle is housework, mealtimes and bedtime routines.  I’m so focused on these because whenever any of them are out of sync, the whole system has failures.  Man down!!

I’ll dive deeper into some tips and the new systems I’ve come up with, in a later post.

Just a pinch of backstory about my family. We’ve been a 1 car household for many years. So, making sure everyone gets to where they need to be during the week can be pretty tricky and tiring.

This is my daughter’s first year of school.  While it’s really exciting, we’re also adjusting to her being in school during the day and everything that comes along with her new Pre-K schedule.  Our metro school system doesn’t provide transportation for Pre-K, so that means my hubby and I take turns dropping her off in the mornings and then I pick her up.

I’ve transitioned from being a full-time work at home mom into being that, PLUS a part-time driver.  In a nutshell.

My new crazy weekday schedule:

  • 6:30 a.m wakeup/wash/dress
  • 7:30 – drop daughter off to school
  • 8:00 – make sure my son gets on his bus before heading to the gym
  • 8:15 – gym/exercise
  • 9:00 – home/eat/work
  • 11:00 – break/prep to drop hubby off to work
  • 1:00 – prepare after school snacks and prep to pick up daughter
  • 2:00 – 4:30p – errands/work/nap or playtime (daughter)
  • 4:30p – 6:30p – checking homework/housework
  • 6:30p – 7:30 – dinner/get kids washed and in pajamas
  • 8:30 – pick up hubby from work
  • 10p. – kids in bed/downtime/sleep

Panda Express Is Here For The Win!

When the weekend hits the last thing I want to be concerned about is cooking meals. That’s why I love having convenient options like Panda Express to give me a much-needed break from the kitchen and a chance to enjoy a good meal together with the whole fam.

I love the options here because we can get a fast affordable meal that’s well-balanced and customizable for our tribe of picky eaters.  I can be sure that we’re getting plenty of fresh vegetables and enough protein to fuel our family fun.

The kids also get a drink and dessert (a chocolate chip cookie) with their meals!

Horrible food ordered lunch special and shrimp toast it was rancid pork fried rice was nothing but rice spent 11.00 and if I wasn’t sick I would have brought it back plus they wanted to charge me for duck sauce never again

I’ve never seen any of those items on the Panda Express menu before. Are you sure we’re talking about the same restaurant? They don’t serve shrimp toast or pork fried rice.
