Mother’s Day is coming up in May. We all know it’s supposed to be a time to show moms how much we care about all that they do. But Mother’s Day won’t be a happy occasion for thousands of moms living in shelters due to domestic abuse or homelessness. Their lives have been turned upside down and they can really use our help.
Nashville! Please show your support and love for moms in crisis this spring, by donating needed items to the Movers for Moms collection drive in Franklin. Donations collected will provide critical gifts to local women & their children staying in community shelters. Between now and Mother’s Day, you can drop off your donations at Mellow Mushroom , located at 317 South Main Street in Franklin. To thank you for your contribution, everyone that donates items will receive $5 off $25 or more at the Mellow Mushroom.
Accepted donation items include:
- Paper towels
- Fabuloso multi-purpose cleaner (no pine scent please)
- Disposable gloves
- Fabric softener dryer sheets
- 75 watt light bulbs
- Tall kitchen trash bags
