4 Tips For The Perfect Pucker
- Apply Lip Balm immediately after cleansing your face and/or brushing your teeth. Harsh drying agents found in Facial Cleansers & Toothpaste can be drying to the delicate skin on and around your lips.
- Exfoliate your lips. For a simple and natural at-home recipe, you can use a 1/2 teaspoon of honey mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Combine the ingredients and gently rub the surface of your lips in a circular motion. Do this for a few minutes, rinse and apply a balm. Another way to exfoliate is to use a simple toothbrush! Preferably, not the same one you use to brush your teeth (for the same reasons as stated in #1). Coat your lips with a moisturizing element such as honey, coconut oil, Vitamin E Oil or Olive Oil and brush in a circular motion for a few minutes, then rinse and apply a balm.
- Don’t go to sleep bare lipped! Apply a balm or edible oil (Olive, Vitamin E, Coconut, Vegetable) to your lips before bedtime to keep your lips moisturized and protected.
- Protect your lips underneath your lip wear. If you’re gonna wear it, take care to moisturize your lips prior to applying your favorite gloss, lip stick or lip stain. Never apply any of these to already dry or chapped lips as it will only lead to more dryness.
