Hey Stars! I know I’ve been incognito for a little bit…we’ll that is unless you consider 3 months of hiding “a little bit”. Ever since I announced my pregnancy I had been dealing with the first trimester from hell which made me wanna crawl under a rock.  So I did.  But now I’m back!

So just to fill you in, here’s a list of my 1st trimester issues that kept me down.

  • Insomnia
  • Dry heaving
  • Loss of appetite
  • 1 Emergency Room visit for Dehydration
  • Constipation (Oh yeah, I almost passed out once while on the toilet…I know TMI, but I almost died, ask my hubby 🙂 )
  • Excessive Saliva and Spitting aka Ptyalism
  • No Energy
  • Water Sucks (I can’t drink certain brands of Spring Water now…WTH?!)
  • Terrible Acid Reflux
  • Heartburn

Now here I am at 22 weeks, in the midst of my 2nd trimester and praise God, I’m beginning to feel normal again….OK semi-normal.  I still have insomnia and I’m still spitting like a phlegmy old man but things are slowly looking up.  I have a lot more energy and my appetite is to the point where food fills my thoughts, dreams and plate every day now.

So next on my agenda is narrowing down some names, shopping for maternity clothes that don’t look frumpy or outdated and getting my baby registries started.  Now that I know I’m having a girl, it’ll be easier to shop and prep.

I could kick myself for getting rid of all of my son’s baby furniture a few years back.  I had a beautiful mahogany crib and a Unisex Graco Convertible Playyard too.  Oh well, no sense in crying about it now.

Oh Yeah!

I’m also on the hunt for an outfit to wear to my in-law’s 20 year vow renewal ceremony in May.  I’ve been on countless maternity shop websites but I just haven’t found something that I think suits my style.  I’m leaning toward a floral jumpsuit like this one I saw on ASOS.   I detest that models shoes, but you get the idea.

or maybe thinking about getting something custom made in a Mint color, like this piece I saw on Etsy.  I just like the way it drapes over everything without looking dumpy.  Plus it can be fitted to my measurements.  What do you think?

Any ideas on what I could wear that will still show my cuteness and not make me feel like a frump-a-dump?  Hit me up in the comments.
