Naturally Stellar | Face and Hair OTD

Hey Stars!

I just wanna show you what I’m rocking for the day.  This look is what I like to call Casual Glamour.  Since I work from home, I tend to not dress up as much as I’d like to.  So in order to take my ordinary casualness to the next level, bright colors, bigger hair & a gorgeous lippy are essential to keeping my style fresh.

I prepped my hair for heat styling using Beautiful Textures Curly to Straight Flat Iron Silkener. It’s perfect for adding shine to heat styles and taming the frizzies.

I then used a 1″ diameter barrel curling iron to create these gorgeous & wispy spiral curls.

I then gathered the back portion and pinned it at the nape.

Now be honest with me.  I’m starting to grow accustomed to my bushy & unshaped brows, but do you think it’s time for a shaping?  I don’t know, it just seems like ever since I decided to leave them alone, they’ve grown in thicker.   Oh and peep my thrifted Old Navy top I got for $4 from Goodwill ๐Ÿ˜‰

Think its Time to Shape the Brows or Leave Them Alone?

  1. Hi Candice!!!
Your brows look great….maybe just a subtle shaping could enhance them. I wish I had brows like that. Anyway, I just purchased the Beautiful Textures Curly to Straight Flat Iron Silkener and I was searching the net to see any reviews on it…your blog popped up. Does it really help with frizz? I’m a natural 4 ish curl pattern and I’ve tried almost every anti-frizz serum known to man and no matter what happens AS SOON as I walk out the door, no matter the weather, my hair literally turns into a puff ball. I’m just curious to know how did this product work for you.

    1. Hey Candace! Yes I have actually tried that product. I’m not really a fan of most anti-frizz products because none of them seem to do what they are intended to do. For this one in particular though, it does work pretty well for my mixed 3C/4A/B texture. In fact it’s formulated to do so. What I do is apply a good leave in after washing –> Then I apply the Flat Iron Silkener and either air dry in plaits or blow dry with a paddle brush –> Then I flat iron it. I also apply more as the days go on, concentrating on my ends, to a little overall to add shine or before wrapping at night. Hope this helps!

    1. Yeah you’re right. Time for me to stop playing and shape these babies up! lol. I LOVE your blog btw. Make sure you stay in touch with me on Social Media so we can keep connected and if you ever want to be a guest contributor on my blog, let me know. I need more Fierce Super Mama’s like you.

  2. Continue to grow them until they won’t grow anymore and then cut them! That’s such a hard thing to do though ahhahah
