Moody Manicure – Pure Ice/Sinful Colors Mint Apple Jewels

Today’s Moody Manicure is inspired by my thoughts of Springtime.  This up and down winter weather is really messing with my wardrobe, it has to go!  So, I needed something fresh & vibrant to pick me up.

I’m feeling kind of Minty. This color has been on my mind lately and it seems like I’m seeing it everywhere not.    From Pinterest to Facebook, Mint is definitely starting to surpass the amount of Emerald I was expecting to see on overload by now.

Pure Ice’s The Family Jewels & Sinful Color’s Mint Apple 947  look Uh-MA-Zing together.

Mint Apple 947 is a very soft, pastel with a nice silvery shimmer to it.  The shimmer is most noticeable in daylight.  It sort of reminds me of touch up auto paint. The Family Jewels is an awesome clear coat densely packed with tiny gold glitter & gold holographic diamond-shaped pieces.  I’ve worn this polish by itself and it is phenomenal on natural nails. These two are the perfect combination of fresh & glam.

I decided to keep this moody manicure sort of simple.  I just applied 2 coats of Sinful Colors Mint Apple 947 over my base (SH Double Duty) and used Pure Ice’s The Family Jewels for some accents.  For some odd reason, I don’t really care too much for matching nails. I like to switch up the patterns of my accents on each hand.

I should have cleaned this one up better 🙂

The silver shimmer in the Mint Apple polish is very subtle but really makes the polish pop.

  1. I love this mint apple. I did a mint candy apple myself for this week. It will be posted tomorrow. I love how you do something different for each nail.
