Unfortunately I haven’t had the chance to go thrift shopping this week, so I’m gonna share my haul from last week with you all. Keep in mind that everything you’ll see here was $3.50 or less each at my local Goodwill.

First up,  I found a hot pair of BCBG heels!  I know it’s out of season, but if I can find the right tights I may just rock these bad boys this winter. They were in excellent condition, and the soles were as if they’ve only been worn once. I know some people are afraid to cop thrifted shoes, but I’m not. It’s all about the condition of the item to me, and whether repair or re-fashioning is gonna be worth the trouble.  Of course if it looks like somebody’s been running marathon’s or having a sweat fest in there…I’m not touching it.

For these, a simple cleaning with hot soap & water & an alcohol wipe down was good enough for my Monk-like disinfecting preferences.

I just love the wood on these…they sort of sound like clogs when I walk, but they’re so stylish. Maybe the loud sound will make people notice my cool heels.

Then I found this Michael Stars top.  I can’t wait to wear this in an OOTD post.

It is super cute! It has such a nice texture with a gold-ish bronze metallic sheen to it. I tried to take a close up shot of it so you could see, but my cell camera doesn’t quite do it justice.

Next, I grabbed 2 clutches.  One is a Murval (I think…it may be a knockoff) and the other is my favorite…An un-branded Black Patent Leather Clutch.  You may recognize this in one of my earlier posts on How To Remove Scuff Marks from Patent Leather.

If any of you know if this Murval purse is a knock off or genuine…let me know?  I’m making the assumption that it’s a knockoff because it is made with PVC vs. Genuine Leather?

The last couple things I grabbed before cashing out were these cute accessories.  I have some plans & re-fashioning in mind for the animal print earrings.  ***One thing I want to encourage people to do when thrifting is Don’t be afraid to buy accessories like earrings.  Earrings can be washed & disinfected as well as new posts, backs or fishhooks added to make them like new.***

And that is it my stellar thrifters! Until my next haul…Keep Shining!

Nice finds! I like the tips on cleaning too – I’m such a germophobe but somehow a little swipe here and hot water there and I’m fine with it 🙂 Those heels are amazing, BTW – rock it out!

Thank you! I think a lot of people shy away from thrifting because they’re afraid of the dirty side of it. I’ve learned how to pick items that are easy to clean and in good condition. Thrifting definitely takes patience. I see you’re a thrifter too, so I’m gonna check out your blog. Thanks for reading and be sure to come back!
