This past weekend we loaded the car with the kids, a light stroller, pop up chairs, some good food and headed over to the Nashville Zoo to get a little Curious on the Hulu Summer Road Trip! Hulu Summer Road Trip The purpose of the Hulu Summer Road Trip is to introduce or reintroduce people to Hulu by having fun with themed events. The Nashville event was all about the kids and letting parents know that all 9 seasons of Curious George can be streamed whenever you want on Hulu. The day was all about celebrating our favorite monkey, Curious George and family fun. Once the zoo closed for the day, it was time to party…George style. Some of the attractions at the zoo were open to the public after hours like the snack bars, The Jungle Gym, Carousel and some people even ventured off to get sneak peeks of some of the animal exhibits. We came prepped with food, chairs and our zip up blanket The Hulu team made sure the kids got a chance to meet and greet George, take some pics and grab some freebies like Curious George posters and mini plush George’s. The parents were given free 30 day trials of Hulu! We’re already loyal Hulu subscribers in our house, but my hubby did grab a free 30 day trial card anyway so we could gift it to someone who hasn’t tried it yet. Take a look at mini plush George below. He’s so cute in his little Hulu tee shirt! Underneath George is rocking his traditional red Curious George tee, but Hulu added their personal touch by layering it with their branded tee. Super cute! I don’t think my daughter was too happy about this pic though LOL My daughter was anxious for my son to hurry up so she could go see what all the excitement and music was about over in the festival field. We let “the boy” run wild in the Jungle Gym to blow off some steam then we headed over to set up our little spot for the movie. After settling in, Me and my son darted off to have some fun riding the carousel and hamming it up for the camera. Isn’t little Having some Mommy and Me time on the Carousel lol. Love this boy! There were fun games for the kids, inflatables, food, fresh air and photo opp’s with George! He was so happy to get to hug George and take a pic with him. There were a lot of fun games for the kids to interact with each other like “Hulu” hoops, limbo and cornhole. The parents were kept entertained with good party music. Me and my daughter had a good time getting our dance on and laying out on our blanket stuffing our faces 🙂 I did some live snaps but somehow managed to NOT save them. Social Media Fail! Hulu provided some nice inflatable chairs for guests but you had to get there early to snatch them up Then it was time for the Movie!! We watched 2 Hulu shows, of Curious George (which means 4 cartoon episodes) on the inflatable movie screen. It was so nice to just lay out under the stars and watch my kids just being carefree and laughing. It was awesome. Movie Time!! We had a great time just cooling out and getting in some quality time together. I can’t tell you how many episodes of Curious George my kids and I have watched this summer. So, this was the perfect ending to help cap off the few days before school starts here in Nashville. We were one of the last families to leave the festival field so that gave us one last chance to get in some hug time with George. My son took full advantage of that! The kids had a blast and slept like rocks that night…so thank you Hulu, thank you Curious George and thank you Nashville Zoo. What Types Of Things Have You/Your Fam Been Doing For Fun This Summer?
