This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and Walmart Family Mobile. All opinions are mine alone. #DataAndAMovie #CollectiveBias I absolutely can’t stand being on a road trip with no WiFi signal and poor data.  When I have my GPS going and am jammin’ to my Spotify playlist, I gotta know that my GPS isn’t gonna get on my nerves with the “No Signal” messages or that my favorite song isn’t gonna just cut off.  So, I had to find a solution to upgrade my data life quick and I think I found it with the Walmart Family Mobile Plus plan.

Between the kids appointments, errands and stuff I have to do for my blog, I have no chill when it comes to my data. It has to be reliable and it has to be quick. So I took advantage of all the Jonas Blizzard panic in Nashville and headed out to Walmart this past weekend, snow and all.  While everyone else was inside, I was out trying to get a deal. Hey I’m from NY, this is nothing 😀

I was determined to grab the new Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime since it went on rollback for $99.00.  It was originally $149.  I was also hyped to try out the Walmart Family Mobile Plus plan (powered by T-Mobile) since they added more data to their already affordable monthly plan.  Disclaimer: All prices for phones and plans included in this post are accurate as of the date of posting; however, these prices are subject to change. Please refer to http://cbi.as/28aqc or your local Walmart for current pricing.

Walmart Family Mobile Plus Plan Highlights

So they still offer Unlimited Talk, Text and Data. But now have added an additional 10GB of 4G LTE data, for people who are heavy data users and need on-the-go access when WiFi networks aren’t available. So if your phone is your main data source, then this is a nice plan to consider.  Plus, additional lines are priced super nice if you want to add other people to your plan.

What I like about my Walmart Family Mobile Plus plan is the 4G LTE network signal is excellent at most of the places I need to be. Oh and according to their coverage maps, it will also give me great coverage as I travel back and forth between Nashville and Alabama to visit my parents.  Then when they visit me, my 4G LTE will help us find the cheapest gas prices and best places to eat out as they tour the city.  I’m just thinking about all of the blogger events and meetups where I won’t have to worry about whether or not there’s good WiFi, I’ll have a reliable data network.

Some other great features of the new WFM Plus plan is that you don’t pay up front like a pay-as-you-go plan and all of the plan levels are affordable.  So you just select which plan you want and then you’re billed monthly. They also threw in 1 free VUDU movie per month (per line) on the PLUS plan….can someone say Date Night!!  My Roku® button is all ready lol.

As you probably can tell, I’m really feeling my new mobile plan and I’m getting used to the features of the phone. The monthly Vudu rentals are the icing on the cake for me and are really gonna come in handy for some me or us time. So the next time you stop by your local Walmart, just head to the electronics section and check out the Walmart Family Mobile Display!

that’s a really good price. I think I’ll be heading to Walmart to get my dad a phone. My job already pays for my cell phone bill.

Wow what a perk Jo! I’m trying to convince my dad to get off his pay-as-you-go plan he’s had for a LONG time and get on this one. He so old school, he still gets roaming charges on his plan…Crazy!

I saw the Walmart plans before and they were intriguing then now it seems even more enticing with the added data. This would be a great option for service might have to consider this when my son hits jr high school.

I’ve tried the Walmart Family Mobile plan before with Collective Bias, and I have to say I liked how easy it was to use and manage. If I didn’t already have AT&T, I’d definitely look into it or just have it designated as a business phone.

I have to get my son a phone soon. 🙁 He is headed to middle school and Dad and I will cut the ball and chain. Is the type of set up I want for him. I don’t want to pay a ton of money nor do I want to be locked into a contract.

Well the cool thing about this plan is that it’s NOT a pre-paid. You can use the service and they bill you each month that you use it. Plus, you can cancel at any time so you’re not stuck in any crazy contracts.

I wonder if I could use that data plan internationally?

Also re: Spotify, the premium plan is worth it’s small monthly fee. You can listen to all your favorites offline!

This is interesting and seems like a great solution! I am also someone who is on the road alot and needs my GPS to be reliable. It is SO annoying when you get the ‘no signal’ notification while you are trying to get somewhere.
