Naturally Stellar: My #HomeGoodsHappy Thrifty Finds 2/24/14
OK Stars, I have to fill you in on some of the thrifty finds I’ve come across this past weekend. Now, I wasn’t planning on buying any of these items, I just happened upon them while searching for something else for my home. Isn’t that always the how it goes LOL! So anyway, I’ve been exploring my new city, Nashville, trying to find all of my favorite stores as well as discover some newbies. Well I finally found out where HomeGoods is over the weekend and I decided to check it out Sunday afternoon with a sleep 5-year-old in tow (He Slept in the Cart ).
Let me start off by showing you the awesomeness I found at this TJMaxx/HomeGoods store in Brentwood, TN. First of all I went there with intentions of finding some curtains for my living room. I recently moved into my new place so I wanted to spruce up a patio door with some new window treatments, because I detest the plain vertical blinds that are there…Uggghh!
Anyway, on the TJMaxx side of the store, I came across the Hair Tools section and after looking through boxes of hair dryers and ceramic flat irons, I settled on this Revlon Limited Edition, Ionic/Nano Ceramic Turbo Dryer. The box says this was Only at Target? So I’m assuming this was overstock from Tarjay. I got this beauty for $19.99 and it comes with a large diffuser attachment, a cool shot button, concentrator attachment & a removable end cap for easy cleaning. Yaaayyy Me!
Next I found this really cute table lamp on sale for $19.99 on the HomeGoods side of the store. It has a really chic lattice designed shade, perfect for my son’s room. His room doesn’t have built-in overhead lighting, so we were using a 40w desk lamp. Needless to say, his room was way too dark. I like this one because it can take up to a 60w bulb and his room is nice and softly lit now…Score!
Then I found this Blue basket with handles & an attached drawstring cloth lining. This is a pretty nice sized basket & very good quality. This would be perfect for storage, but I decided to go ahead and use it as a bathroom wastebasket. I just put wastebasket liners inside and am using it to help coordinate with the accessories in my bath. It’s hard to find a blue wastebasket this shade, so why not? Then when I want I can just remove the plastic liners and use the basket for storage with the drawstring cloth liner. This was only $9.99 at HomeGoods.
I’m already planning out my next trip. I think the next time I head to HomeGoods I’m going to grab one of these stylish fabric rolling bags.
I’ve been wanting/needing one for a while and HomeGoods had some, but way more stylish than the ones above . They were $19.99 for the smaller one and $39.99 for the larger size styles. But who knows? My intent is to buy a rolling bag, I’m pretty sure I’ll be leaving with much more.
Have you found any great thrifty finds lately?
