TweetSharePin12+1Share This Moody Manicure is a totally Sally Hansen Mani & I made an attempt at trying Stamping for the very first time. I’ve been longing for this nice Konad kit & Plates I have on my Amazon Wishlist (My Nail Dreams Wishlist) for awhile, but I haven’t had a Fairy Nail Buddy to bless me with it yet. So on a trip to Walmart I came across the Fing’rs Flirt Stamping Kit & Nail Art Disks. The Fing’rs kit was on sale for around $6 and the disks were $3 so I figured why not try them. My first attempt at stamping didn’t go so great. I’m not sure if it’s because of the thickness of the Polish I used or what. I definitely get how it works but my technique is lacking a little. I can’t seem to get a good transfer from the plate to my stamper to make a good impression on my nails. I did manage to get 1 Nail done though, you’ll see it in some of the pics below. The Fing’rs Nail Stamping Kit comes with: 1 Nail Art Disk 1 White Polish 1 Scraper 1 Stamper As you can see, the plates are numbered so you can collect them all. The Polishes I’m using for this Moody Manicure are: Sally Hansen Insta Dry – 425 Blue Away – Target $3.59 Sally Hansen Double Duty Base & Top Coat – Target $3.99 Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear – 360 Mellow Yellow – Target $2.49 Sally Hansen Double-Duty, Insta Dry & Xtreme Wear Polishes I love this softness of Blue Away & Mellow Yellow which are perfect pastels for Spring. The Insta Dry Polishes are a thicker polish with a Large Flat Brush so smooth stroking is very important. If you’re using any of the Insta Dry’s be sure not to overdo it. Stroke once full down the middle & just a bit to each side for more even coats. This isn’t a polish you’d want to have to do many touch ups with because it’s not as forgiving as a thinner polish. It really looks pretty all glossed up with a top coat. My Failed Attempt at Stamping. This is the best nail I could get on my first try. I’m gonna have to give the stamping another try, maybe with a darker base & a larger plate design. For some reason the plate designs I have don’t seem to cover the surface of my Thumb or Middle Finger. I wonder if the Konad Plates are larger with deeper crevices? If anyone has tried them before please let me know. Until Next Time Stars! -Stellar Out This week I’m linking up with…. Not already following my blog? You should be ashamed!! LOL.
